Review of The Origins of Happiness

My long review of The Origins of Happiness by Clark, Fleche, Layard, Powdthavee and Ward was published overnight in the The Journal of Happiness Studies. I'd like to think it gives a good indication of where the field has come from and where it needs to go next. This book is a turning point in wellbeing studies, but mostly because it shows that the old lines of inquiry are burnt out. You can read the whole thing (~7000 words) for free here: https://rdcu.be/4ISO
